Building
Built on Stag Hill where the Kings of England used to hunt it is an imposing sight. Its red brick
exterior belies the splendidly proportioned Nave & Aisles within. The Diocese of Guildford was
created in 1928 and the foundation stone was laid in 1936. Designed by Sir Edward Maufe its
building was delayed by the second world war and it was consecrated in 1961.
