Choir
The Chapel Choir is a mixed voice choir of 30 Choral Scholars who are undergraduates of the
college. Apart from Chapel services they have an ambitious programme of overseas tours, high
profile perfomances in the UK as well as 40 CDs since the 1980s. There are two organ scholars who
assist in conducting the choir and who are much in demand as recitalists and accompanists.
Organ
The organ, by Metzler Orgebau of Zurich, was built in 1975, incorporating the original cases and
pipework of the 1694 & 1708 Father Smith organ. The action is mechanical, there are 42 stops
over three manuals and pedals.

Building
The college was founded by Henry V111 in 1546, though its oldest buildings, the Great Gate and
Kings Hall range behind the Clock Tower, are medieval. Great Court and the cloistered court facing
the river were built from 1593, Nevile's Court and the beautiful Wren Library in the late 17th
century whilst New Court and the courts on the other side of Trinity Street were erected in the
19th century. There has been much new building in modern times.
