Choir
There are two choirs - the Cathedral Choir of 18 boy choristers and 9 men, Lay clerks and choral
scholars and the Training Choir of 12 younger boys. The choir has made 2 cds recently as well as
radio and television broadcasts. It is to tour in Germany in 2008.

Building
The early wooden church was replaced by a Saxon stone church, which survives as the present Galilee
Chapel at the West End. The Normans added the massive Nave with its 15th century 'Gothic Casquet'.
In the early 1960s Alban Caroe extended the Chancel.
