Grants
By making grants to choirs, the Friends of Cathedral Music seeks to maintain and expand the work of choral foundations of Cathedrals, Collegiate Churches and Chapels and other appropriate places of worship.
Main grants are given as capital sums for endowment in support of chorister scholarships, instrumental tuition and voice training for choristers, organ scholarships and funding for adult choral scholarships.
Smaller awards can also be made for the purchase of capital equipment such as rehearsal pianos and song school choir stalls.
Consideration will also be given to awarding grants to any other suitable scheme, which will enhance the work of a music foundation but is beyond local financial resources without outside assistance.
